The 25th Annual Living American Flag Program
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon; Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine/ Baltimore, MD

3rd, 4th & 5th graders make their mark in History re-enacting the Living American Flag, first formed in 1914.

Students compete in the Philip F. Haxel, Sr. Patriotism Honor Roll Awards Essay Contest. Winners are announced from the stage, and the "Baton of Patriotism" is passed. Teacher-directed Fort tours and conversations with Historic Characters make this a truly memorable, educational school field trip!

   
   
Flag Day, Saturday, June 14, 2008
29th Annual National Pause for the Pledge of Allegiance
6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.; Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine/ Baltimore, MD

Lead the Nation in saying the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:00 p.m. EDT.
Band Concert and a Fly-Over by the A-10 Thunderbolt Jets Of the 104th Fighter Squadron 175th Wing, Maryland Air National Guard

Program concludes with Spectacular Fireworks Display by Zambelli.
